Have you ever heard this quote?

“I’m not lazy, I’m just in energy-saving mode!”

Sometimes we can totally beat ourselves up for not having more energy. We have such great intentions, but then the energy is just not there, and we simply can’t get moving.

There is some truth to the quote above. Our bodies must reserve energy for everyday processes like digesting food, decongesting our liver, absorbing nutrients, etc. Whatever our storehouse of energy amount is, these processes must come first. When we provide our body with the foundational nutrition our body needs to complete these basic bodily functions, we see more overall energy for our “energy storehouse” to use for other processes.
